Art Crawl Blooms Again This April
The annual right of spring, St. Paul Art Crawl, returns this April with even more art, music and activities than ever before.
This year, organizers are spreading out the spring showcase of local artists across three weekends, divided up by the city’s City Council Wards.
Ward 2, which includes the Downtown, Summit Hill, The West Side and the West 7th neighborhoods is first up on April 25-27, with events, activities and all the art you can handle all weekend. Wards 5, 6 and 7 are the following weekend, May 2-4, with Wards 1, 3 and 4 hosting events May 9-11.
We’ve rounded up some of the events happening along West 7th for this year’s festivities. See all the events over the three weekends at stpaulartcollective.org.
Art Crawl at the Schmidt Brewery
Work out all of your spring fling needs with the amazing collection of talented artists at Schmidt Artist Lofts Brewhouse – April 25-27, 2025 in the West 7th Arts District.
This spring’s Art Crawl begins right here at the historic Schmidt Brewery with over 80 artists exhibiting and selling their work. See and shop paintings, ceramics, illustrations, jewelry, photography, block prints, glass art, digital work, fiber arts and more by Schmidt resident artists and our local guest artists.
Your challenge is to search every inch of the 5 level Brew House. Explore each room, gallery, hall and hallway from the tunnel to the rooftop overlooking the St. Paul Skyline. Learn a few new moves at the Dance Studio off the Tunnel Gallery Saturday afternoon. Don’t miss your opportunity to learn from an artist through our Open Palette Art demonstrations on the rooftop. Attend a session and get inspired to test your own artistic abilities. Take in the spectacular view while you chat one-to-one with our artists.
Entries for the 44th Annual MN Congressional District High School Art Competition takes center stage in our Atrium. This new generation of artists offer their youthful insight. The winning piece will be part of a national exhibit at the U.S. Capitol, and runners up will be displayed at congressional offices in St. Paul and Washington D.C.
