The Community Reporter’s mission goes well beyond reporting news which impacts the community. Born in the 1970’s out of a number of West 7th organizations’ desire to effectively communicate with area residents, the Community Reporter sees itself as a vehicle for and agent of community building in St. Paul.

Community Reporter Archives Project

We’re raising money to digitize The Community Reporter’s 50-plus years of archives and make them freely available online. The work will be performed by staff at the Minnesota History Center. Your donation will make an impact, whether $1 for a page or $8 for a complete issue or more.

The Community Reporter, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation in Saint Paul, MN. We produce the West End (W7th) neighborhood newspaper to report on activities in the area, aiding in community development and advocacy while supporting a cohesive and assertive community.
