Support Nonprofit Neighborhood News

Dear West End,

As a small, nonprofit news organization, our success relies on the support of our community. Thankfully, for nearly 55 years the people in neighborhoods along West 7th have helped us thrive.

From giving their time to help us tell the stories of the area, to the small businesses who support us through advertising, the West 7th Community has invested in our paper for over a half-century, and for that we are eternally grateful.

In these times, it is as important as ever to continue supporting independent, local news – news that affects your daily lives, your neighbors and your community.

This April, we are asking you to continue that support and donate to help us do even more.

Support nonprofit neighborhood news

In 2025 we have two big goals:

  1. Expand the Community Reporter – we want to tell more stories on more printed pages, update and modernize our website and serve a larger geographic delivery area, growing our ability to keep everyone informed of the things that matter most in our community.
  2. Increase paid writing opportunities – Our writers, photographers and creators are the backbone of our organization. We want to include more voices in our pages. To attract those voices, we want to make sure that the people doing the work of telling the stories of our community are compensated for their time if they choose.

Our goal this year is to raise $30,000 to support our future success in keeping our community informed about what matters most in their backyard.

We need your financial support to reach those goals.

Donate today, either by mailing a pledge to us or online at communityreporter.org/donate to support high quality, local, nonprofit journalism in your community.

Your tax-deductible donation gives us the ability to continue bringing you the news and views from the West End that matter most for the next 55 years.
