Our doors may be temporarily closed, but we’re still offering resources to keep you connected. Staff members are still taking calls 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Call the library at 651-266-7000 for assistance by telephone. Access to all services can be found at www.sppl.org/staying-in.

Placing Holds

You can place holds on items in the library catalog or call or email the library to have items put on hold.

You can also call or email the library ask for reading, viewing, or listening recommendations, and staff will select up to five titles for you to checkout. Items can be placed on hold to be picked up at our neighbor branch, Highland Park: 651-695-3700, and at George Latimer Central Library: 651-266-7000.

When your items are ready to be picked up, library staff will be in touch with information on contactless pickup. Held items are not ready to be picked up until library staff contact you.

Note: Please do not return items to the library at this time. Library book drops are closed.
