West 7th / Fort Road Federation June 2024

Join our board! We are currently recruiting candidates for two of our board seats: one in Area 1 (homeowner or renter), and the other in Area 3 (renter).

We Live Here: West 7th Community Discussion: June 4, 6 p.m.-8 p.m., CSPS Hall (383 W Michigan Street). You are invited to a structured conversation with neighbors about the future of West 7th and the Riverview Corridor project. We want to capture & share the values of our West 7th neighbors and advocate for what’s important to our community, regardless of the mode of transit chosen. Your feedback will be recorded, summarized and shared with the Riverview Corridor Team, Councilmembers and other parties. Our intention is not to agree on a preferred alternative (streetcar vs. bus), but rather listen to what folks value about West 7th (pedestrian safety, local businesses, parking etc.) so we can maintain and enhance the best things about West Seventh.

14th Annual West End Garden Tour: June 15, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. West 7th Community Center (265 Oneida). We’re thrilled to announce that the West 7th / Fort Road Federation Annual West End Garden Tour is back. Get ready to explore the lush greenery of traditional gardens, the charm of native landscapes, the creativity of alley gardens, and the productivity of vegetable gardens. The West End Garden Tour is a celebration of diverse gardening styles and the beauty of West 7th. Our “home base” will be the West 7th Community Center. Stop by, pick up a map, browse our plant sale and chat with some community organizations. This is a free event and all are welcome to attend.
