SPN ACT to Adopt New Name

After much discussion and thought, there is a near-unanimous decision to change the name of St. Paul Neighborhoods ACT on Alzheimer’s (SPN ACT) to Dementia Friendly St. Paul. The new name will be adopted in 2019. However, changing the name is a large endeavor that will take an undetermined about of time to accomplish. The overarching goal does not change — to help to make St. Paul and the surrounding communities dementia friendly.

SPN ACT will continue to be a hub for raising awareness about community organizations and resources available to people with dementia, their families and caregivers by distributing a monthly e-newsletter, promoting Dementia Friends Information Sessions and Dementia Friends Champions training held in the Metro area and hosting monthly SPN ACT meetings. All efforts move through the lens of health equity.

January Meeting: Tuesday, January 15, 1-2:30 p.m. at Carondelet Village Auditorium, 525 Fairview Ave S., St. Paul.
