Volunteer with Meals on Wheels
Many of our older neighbors or people with disabilities rely on Meals on Wheels to ensure that they have a hot, nutritious meal every day. Our locally made meals offer dozens of choices and a short visit from a trained, friendly volunteer each day.
The program is run through our West 7th Community Center, and it serves locally prepared meals that are delivered by a neighborhood volunteers Mondays through Fridays! Many homebound elderly and adults with disabilities are fragile and vulnerable, and most struggle to prepare a nutritious meal on their own. Meals on Wheels can help! Locally prepared meals are delivered by a neighborhood volunteer. Keystone’s Meals on Wheels program is all about choice and friendly service. West 7th Community Center Upgrade
Keystone Community Services is bringing exciting improvements to the West 7th Community Center, thanks to support from the Minnesota Department of Education’s Multi Purpose Community Facility Projects Grant.
The updates are designed to make the center an even more welcoming and accessible space for the community. Improvements include building wide high speed Wi Fi to support learning and job access, along with upgrades to the gym, soundproofing, and improved heating and cooling. Restrooms are being renovated for better accessibility, and hydration stations are being added throughout the building.
With about 1,000 neighbors visiting each week, these improvements will help even more people connect, learn, and stay active. Renovations are scheduled to be completed by June!
