Keenan’s 620 Club closing, reopening under new ownership

In a social media post, the Keenan family announced that Keenan’s Bar and Grill 620 Club would be transitioning out of the family’s hands for the first time in 41 years.

In the August 23 post, they said they would be winding down operations by the end of the month.

The longtime neighborhood bar and grill won’t be closed for long, however.

In the same post, the said that employee Ruth Kashmark , along with her son Gavin Kashmark and “neighborhood regular” Dan Guerrero, will be taking over ownership and reopening after a short break.

“Since Bill Sr. and Marylou purchased 620 club in 1983, 4 generations of the Keenan family have had the privilege to be a part of the West 7th Community,” they said in a statement. “We know 41 years of being in business does not happen without the support of family, customers, staff and community.”

They said they will be posting information about their final week soon, but invite the community to stop in and reminisce.
