Border CrosSing Dance Party Performances
May 15 & 17, Fri 7–9 p.m.; Sun 4–6 p.m. Academia Cesar Chavez & Cedar Cultural Center. Prices Vary.
Border CrosSing transforms from an acclaimed choral ensemble into a lively salsa band for two family-friendly dance party performances. Led by founder and artistic director Ahmed Anzaldúa, the ensemble presents a vibrant mix of classic and contemporary Latin American dance hits, including favorites like “La Vida Es Un Carnaval” and “Ojalá Que Llueva Café.” The performances feature dynamic vocalists, a full rhythm section, and members of the organization’s Heritage Choir. Audience participation is encouraged, with professional dance instructors offering lessons to get everyone moving. Blending music, culture, and community, these events celebrate the diversity of the Twin Cities through joyful, high-energy performance. More info: bordercrossingmn.org/our-events
