Creator’s Space closing

Creator’s Space, 218 7th St. E, announced they will be closing permanently this month. The space will be closed to the public starting October 8, while members will have access through the end of the month.

“Our efforts with the city and the philanthropy community to seek investment into our community space and our non profit organization have not provided the support needed to keep Creators Space open,” they said in an email.

Opened in 2018, Creators Space was envisioned as a creativity center and shared workspace for artists. They offered classes, studio space, tools, galleries and a coffee shop.

The public space will remain open through this year’s St. Paul Fall Art Crawl, with events running every day during their final weekend of operation.
