Youth Music Showcase Seeks Performers For Summer St. Paul Events

Applications are now open for young artists to participate in the 2026 St. Paul Get Down, a summer-long hip-hop showcase and mentorship program hosted by St. Paul Parks and Recreation and community partners.

The program is open to artists ages 14 to 24 and offers weekly workshops, free studio time and performance opportunities at venues across the city. Participants will also have the chance to open for professional musicians and perform at Harriet Island.

Organizers say the program provides a platform for emerging artists while fostering creative development and community engagement. Weekly sessions will be held beginning in mid-June, with a focus on songwriting, performance skills and navigating the music industry.

The initiative highlights St. Paul’s growing youth arts scene and provides accessible opportunities for young people, including those in neighborhoods like Frogtown, downtown and West 7th.

Applications are due by June 1.
