Physicians Helping out in the Community!
The Allina Health United Family Medicine Residency Program trains physicians to become specialists in family medicine. In addition to learning how to care for patients in the clinic, hospital and attend obstetric deliveries, resident physicians also learn the importance of community health. During their three years of training, each resident physician participates in a community oriented project for one half day per month with the goal of uplifting an idea or organization in the West End. These activities have included health education in youth, seniors and homeless individuals, improving connections between organizations, planning community events, building garden plots and many more! We are always looking for new ideas and connections in the community. If you are interested in connecting and discussing an idea, please email me at [email protected].
