Highland District Council April 2025

Represent your neighbors – apply to join our board

The Highland District Council (HDC) is led by a group of neighborhood volunteers who are elected by Highland Park residents and business representatives to bring the voices of the community to the City of St. Paul on issues like development, transportation, affordable housing and the environment. The following positions will be up for election April 10 – 15:

  • One representative from grids 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11. See a map of the grids in Highland Park at highlanddistrictcouncil.org/hdc.
  • Two at-large representatives from any of the grids in Highland Park

Serving as a board member is a great way to get involved in your community. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 3. Learn more at bit.ly/2025HDCBoard.

Annual Meeting on April 10

Join us on Thursday, April 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Summit Brewing (910 Montreal Circle) for Highland District Council’s (HDC’s) Annual Meeting. This event is an opportunity to learn about projects in the neighborhood and meet candidates running in HDC’s Board Member Election.

In addition to connecting with candidates, hear from representatives from city, county and state-led road and other public projects in Highland Park, including MnDOT’s I35 bridge project over Shepard Road, City of St. Paul’s Climate And Resiliency Plan and Riverview bus rapid transit, and Great River Passage Conservancy’s River Learning Center.

Food will be provided and beverages will be available for purchase.

Vote in the 2025 election

Your voice matters! Vote on who represents you on neighborhood issues like development, transportation, affordable housing and environmental concerns. The election will run from Thursday, April 10 at 7 p.m. to Tuesday, April 15 at 10 p.m. via Survey Monkey. If you prefer to submit a paper ballot, please email [email protected] or call the HDC office at 651.695.4005.
