Landmark Center has opened registration for a series of free guided tours exploring St. Paul’s architecture, geology and civic history throughout the summer.
The tours, offered on select Wednesdays through August, include three themed experiences: Rocky Roots, Rice Park and Uncle Sam Worked Here.
Rocky Roots examines the geological history and architectural significance of downtown St. Paul’s stone buildings, while Rice Park tours explore the city’s historic downtown park and surrounding cultural landmarks. Uncle Sam Worked Here focuses on Landmark Center’s history as a federal government building and is part of programming tied to America’s 250th anniversary.
Organizers said each tour lasts about an hour and requires advance registration due to limited space.
Landmark Center is also offering self-guided “Climb to the Top” experiences beginning July 1, providing visitors access to the building’s North Tower and panoramic views of downtown Saint Paul.
The program highlights Landmark Center’s role as one of the city’s most significant historic buildings and provides opportunities for residents and visitors to learn about St. Paul’s development through architecture and public spaces.
June and July reservations are currently available, with August registration opening in July.
