St. Paul Art Collective Announces Executive Director
St. Paul Art Collective (SPAC) announced in an email to supporters on August 19 that Mariusz Kujawski has been named the organization’s new executive director.
“Mariusz has been instrumental in leading the St. Paul Art Collective and the Art Crawl in numerous ways. During his time, in addition to serving on the board as Interim President, Vice President, and Chair of the Communications and Programs committees, he has assisted the overall board in keeping everything running smoothly, coordinating special initiatives, and much more,”
SPAC’s Chair, Veronica Hawman, said in a statement.
The St. Paul Art Collective was formed in 1977 to showcase the artists and vitality of the Lowertown District. In the early 1990s, SPAC began hosting the first art crawls in the area, which they continue to coordinate twice annually throughout the city, as well as acting as a resource for St. Paul artists.
Kujawski will begin this position in a contract capacity, which SPAC says will continue to expand.
