Each month, the Highland District Council will feature a Highland Park resident, business or organization. Our goal with this initiative is to build community and showcase the good work happening around us. The November Community Spotlight honoree: Wandering Leaf Brewing Company. Wandering Leaf is Highland’s newest brewery. December’s Community Spotlight honoree: Soul Lao, a new restaurant in Sibley Plaza on West 7th Street. Food scraps open 24/7 throughout winter, shoveling help wanted
The food scraps/organics drop-off site in Highland near Highland Parkway and Snelling Avenue will remain open 24/7 this winter. We’re always looking for help from neighbors to help shovel to keep the space accessible after snowfalls. Contact us at 651.695.4005 or firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer.
