“Origin Story” to Have a Second Printing
Joe Landsberger’s history of the West End, “Origin Story of Fort Road/West Seventh Street, the Township/City of Saint Paul, the Territory/State of Minnesota: Glacial Age Forward,” sold out its first printing in just a few months at the end of last year, and left enough people without their own copy that a second printing is on the way.
The updated edition has been expanded to 420 pages with 1,083 images (85% vintage & commissioned illustrations) and 263 endnotes. It also includes additional stories shared by readers.
You can order your copy of the revamped edition now. Sales are restricted to nonprofits, as well as independent bookstores near you.
Landsberger has donated over 800 copies to local nonprofits and community groups, including local libraries.
The Fort Road Federation is selling copies on their website, fortroadfed.org, with proceeds benefitting the organization.Landsberger will continue his talks and media contributions, including his monthly column in our pages on the history of the West End.
