Joseph’s Coat Welcomes New Executive Director Rebecca Bedner

The board of directors at Joseph’s Coat, a St. Paul free store providing goods and services to people in need in an environment of dignity and respect, welcomes a new executive director. Rebecca Bedner will lead the store’s staff, volunteers and all programming starting Sept. 25.

Bedner’s 20 years of nonprofit experience includes program development and implementation, fundraising and leading volunteers. Most recently, she served as development director at Roseville Lutheran Church, where she was responsible for raising over $1 million annually; previous roles have been at Avivo, Prepare + Prosper, Make-a-Wish Minnesota, Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota and Family Tree Clinic.

Bedner joins Joseph’s Coat following the retirement of longtime executive director Cheryl Stern. In honor of Stern’s 13 years of service, St. Paul proclaimed August 25 Cheryl Stern – Joseph’s Coat Day.
