Who were the people who founded Saint Paul and how exactly was it founded? These are the questions historian Gary Brueggemann has been investigating for the last four decades.

What he ultimately uncovered is a fascinating story, set in an adventurous time and place (the wild pre-Minnesota frontier) and filled with a colorful cast of characters — most long forgotten but all contributors to the creation of Saint Paul. Gary will share that story in a free pictorial presentation entitled, “Saints and Sinners: The Pioneers of Saint Paul”, held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Armstrong & Victoria, on Oct. 9 from 6:00-7:30 PM.
