Deutsche Tage

June 13-14, Germanic-American Institute, Free.

Deutsche Tage returns to the grounds of the Germanic-American Institute for a weekend celebrating German heritage, music, food and culture. The free festival will feature authentic German and European cuisine, Paulaner beer, German wines, live entertainment, dance performances, sing-alongs and family activities including scavenger hunts and interactive cultural experiences. Organizers say this year’s programming will highlight the influence German Americans have had on American culture and community traditions. Festivalgoers can also explore German model trains, shop for imported goods and handmade items, and enjoy live choral music performances throughout the weekend. The event is free to attend, with wristbands available for alcohol purchases for attendees 21 and older. Proceeds support the institute’s cultural and language education programming. Full schedules and details are available at gaimn.org/deutsche-tage.
