Part Two of this lecture series shifts focus to collective action in Minnesota history, including labor strikes, suffrage movements, Indigenous organizing, and modern protest movements. Historian Karen Sieber examines how communities working together have driven lasting social change. Topics include the Iron Range strikes, the General Strike of 1934, the American Indian Movement, and recent protests following the killing of George Floyd. Space is limited.
