Twin Cities Jazz Festival returns to Mears Park with free performances

The Twin Cities Jazz Festival will return to St. Paul’s Lowertown neighborhood June 19-20, bringing free performances and thousands of visitors to Mears Park.

The annual event features two outdoor stages and more than 15 additional venues across the city, showcasing both international and local artists.

Headliners include the Grammy-winning group Yellowjackets, the JazzMN Orchestra with vocalist Michael Mayo, and the Sullivan Fortner Trio.

Organizers say the festival is designed to be accessible to all ages while supporting St. Paul’s arts scene and local economy.

In addition to performances, the festival includes youth programming and educational opportunities such as master classes, aimed at inspiring the next generation of musicians.

Established in 1999, the festival has grown into one of the largest free jazz events in the Midwest and remains a major draw for the Lowertown Arts District.More information: twincitiesjazzfestival.com.
