Celebrate St. Paul’s Irish heritage throughout the month of March at events all over town – capped off by one of the largest St. Patrick’s Celebrations in the nation right in your own back yard. Whether you are a seasoned pro at the St. Paddy’s party scene, looking for some traditional Irish arts or just some good old fashioned family fun, there is something for everyone this spring. The Center for Irish Music presents its annual fundraising gala with cocktail reception, live concert by CIM instructors, silent auction and fund-a-need program. Proceeds support Minnesota’s traditional Irish music school. Tickets available at centerforirishmusic.org/calendar

Button Blitzing

Select dates Feb. 20–March 13, various Twin Cities locations.

Watch for members of the St. Patrick’s Association selling commemorative parade buttons across the metro. Each $5 button supports the parade and enters buyers into a $1,500 drawing. The Blarney-Stones: World’s Worst Irish Tenor Contest

Miss Shamrock 2026 Coronation

Join the St. Patrick’s Association as it crowns Miss Shamrock 2026, the ceremonial queen of St. Paul’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The annual event features community pageantry and Irish pride. More info at stpatsmn.org

Celtic Comedy Night

Seniors St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

Monday, March 16, 11 a.m.–2 p.m. El Rio Vista Recreation Center. $12 resident/$18 nonresident.

Adults ages 55 and older are invited to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with games, crafts, music and light appetizers. Participants are encouraged to wear festive green attire. Advance registration is required through St. Paul Parks and Recreation. Call 651-789-3692 for details.

Tuesday, March 17, noon. Downtown St. Paul. Free.

St. Paul’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade marks its 60th anniversary in 2026. The long-standing route begins at Mears Park, travels along Fifth Street and concludes near Rice Park. Commemorative $5 buttons help support the parade and local charities and include a chance to win $1,500. Expect large crowds and early street closures downtown. More information: stpatsmn.org

Sundays at Landmark: Day of Irish Dance

Irish Arts Minnesota’s annual dance showcase brings together performance and competition teams from across the state. Irish Arts Minnesota hosts its annual family celebration featuring music on four stages, traditional dance, an Irish marketplace, food vendors and children’s crafts. The Shamrock Express

St. Paddy’s Day on the Green
