History Happy Hour: “Remember the Main” Author Talk

History Happy Hour brings history, community and a relaxed night out together on the Minnesota History Center patio. Gates open at 6 p.m. with a cash bar and food truck, and the featured program runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The Aug. 6 event features Trivia Mafia and Minnesota-themed trivia, with teams encouraged to have no more than eight participants. On Aug. 13, author Meg Gorzycki discusses ‘Remember the Main,’ the story of the Main Club in Superior, Wisconsin, and its role as an LGBTQ community lifeline during the early HIV/AIDS era. Thursday evening museum admission and parking are free from 4 to 8 p.m.
