Mississippi River project plans taking shape

The River Balcony is a proposed 1.5-mile promenade along downtown Saint Paul’s river bluff, connecting public spaces, civic landmarks, and development sites, providing new connections to the river, and sparking economic development along the riverfront. The City of St. Paul and the Great River Passage Conservancy are working alongside James Corner Field Operations and consultants to complete the schematic design for the River Balcony. A third community meeting about the project will take place on July 21st as part of the community engagement process, visit greatriverpassage.org/projects/river-learning-center/ to learn more.  After the public input period, schematic designs for both projects are expected for the fall.
