Celebrate National Poetry Month in April

“The Poetry of Puppetry 2” premieres on George Latimer Central Library’s historic Jemne Puppet Stage

Saint Paul Public Library’s Youth Services department invites families to celebrate National Poetry Month in April with an original poetry-themed puppet show at George Latimer Central Library (90 W 4th St). Public shows of “The Poetry of Puppetry 2” are scheduled for: Saturday April 6 at 11:30 am; Thursday April 11 at 10 am; Friday April 19 at 10 am; and Monday April 22 at 6:30 pm.

The Loki Puppet Players, comprised of Saint Paul Public Library Youth Services staff and volunteers, will perform on the George Latimer Central Library’s historic Jemne puppet stage. The puppet stage has been a landmark feature of the Central Library since 1949. The Library’s puppets share more of their favorite poems while waiting for a dragon egg to hatch!

For more information about the Saint Paul Public Library, the Loki Puppet Players performances, or other upcoming children’s programs, please call the George Latimer Central Library Youth Services Department at 651-266-7034, or visit sppl.org.
