The little apartment in Sibley Manor (Apt. 419, 1293 E. Maynard Drive) named Clare’s Closet after St. Clare of Assisi, is a very busy place. Often times, those who come for something to wear are wearing the only clothes they own, and they also may not have even the necessary household items. You can help with donations of funds and goods. Tax-deductible contributions may be sent to Clare’s Closet c/o Franciscan Sisters, 1388 Prior S., St. Paul, 55116. Drop-off days are Wed. and Fri. 9am–noon. Call 651-699-0986 to make a donation of clothing for men, women, children and babies; household items/small appliances (blenders & toasters), dishes, pots, pans, glassware, and silverware; small furniture for small apartments; sheets, blankets, and towels. (No computers, large TVs and mattresses.) All items should be in good condition.

Crime in St. Paul is on the decline and has been for some time. Despite the positive trend, we must remain aware of crime in our neighborhood and work to create a safe place for our families and neighbors.
