Established in 1972, the Community Reporter is a non-profit newspaper, published monthly by a tax-exempt corporation of community volunteers. The paper provides news , information and commentary for readers in the West 7th Street area, downtown St. Paul and southwest Highland Park (near Fort Snelling).  

The Community Reporter is delivered, free of charge, to about 8,000 households, while an additional 4,000 copies are distributed through businesses and other organizations in its circulation area.  The Community Reporter reaches just about everybody in the West End of St. Paul.

Newspapers are issued at the beginning of each month; here are our advertising policies and deadlines: 

  • Advertising (and copy) deadline is the third Monday of the month for publication in the following month’s issue.
  • Space reservations may not be canceled after the deadline.
  • The Community Reporter reserves the right to refuse any advertising judged inconsistent with its editorial policies, or for accounts past due.
  • Payment is net 10 days.
